SC

In a nutshell...

The TMUN is a 3-day simulation of the work of the United Nations. (Senior) High School students participate representing a country or an organisation in various UN forums, like the General Assembly and its committees, the Economic and Social Council and the Security Council. It is an opportunity for students to tackle world issues that often remain uncovered by mainstream media and to better understand the workings of international diplomacy while improving their rhetorical skills. The official and working language of the conference is English.

In the fourteen sessions held since 2002, more than 1000 students have participated in TMUN.

Organisation

The TMUN is organised by the Hellenic Model United Nations Organisation and the day-to-day management of the conference is carried out by an Organising Team consisting of undergraduate and graduate students with significant experience in MUN conferences.

Upcoming session: December 9 - 11, 2016

The 15th Annual Session of the Thessaloniki Model United Nations will take place on December 9 - 11, 2016. The conference will be hosted at the premises of the American Farm School.
